Sarah Miller Katz, Psy.D.

Sarah Katz, Psy.D., has extensive training in the evidence-based treatment of anxiety and mood disorders. Specifically, Dr. Katz has led clients in exposure-based treatment for panic disorder, separation anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder. She has experience providing cognitive behavioral treatments to children, adolescents, and adults struggling with social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder, separation anxiety, selective mutism, depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and disruptive behavior disorders.

Dr. Katz received her doctorate in School-Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University, where she was a member of the Community-Partnered Research to Improve Services and Practice (CRISP) Lab. She completed an APA-accredited clinical internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Clinic in Newark, NJ, where she worked in outpatient, partial hospitalization, and crisis settings and led dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills groups for both adolescents and adults.

Dr. Katz has held externship positions on the inpatient hospitalization unit of Kings County Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hospital’s school-based health center, and Manhattan Early Childhood Center.

Dr. Katz holds professional memberships with the American Psychological Association and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
