Dr Carly Brooks

Dr. Carly Brooks specializes in the evidence-based treatment of anxiety and mood disorders and has received extensive training in both cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Specifically, she has treated clients with a range of presentations including anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, separation anxiety, social anxiety, selective mutism, specific phobia), mood disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, OCD, ADHD, self-harm behaviors, and family and relationship conflict.

Dr. Brooks received her doctorate in School-Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive and Behavioral Consultants (CBC), where she provided individual, group, and family therapy, co-led CBT and DBT groups, conducted neuropsychological evaluations, and trained schools across the tri-state area in the implementation of DBT and CBT.

Prior to working at CBC, Dr. Brooks held externship positions at the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute, Montefiore Medical Center’s Rose F. Kennedy Center/Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC), and the Cooke Grammar School. Dr. Brooks also received a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University prior to her doctoral training.
