Meredith Grossman, Ph.D is an expert in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, using evidence-based practices.  During her extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults using a cognitive-behavioral approach, she has worked with patients struggling with anxiety disorders (such as social phobia, selective mutism, OCD, panic disorder, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder) and mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar disorder).

Dr. Grossman received her Ph.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University. She completed a full-time clinical internship at Westchester Jewish Community Services. Dr. Grossman completed two post-doctoral fellowships in the areas of anxiety and mood disorders and forensics.

As a voluntary faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Grossman trains psychiatry residents and other mental health professionals in the application of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) . She is also a clinical supervisor at Yeshiva University for doctoral level psychology students. Dr. Grossman is a lecturer in the New York City area, providing talks on evidence-based treatments for anxiety and mood disorders.

Dr. Grossman was a full-time faculty member at Weill Cornell Medical College before opening her practice.  Dr. Grossman provided evidence-based individual and family outpatient therapy.  In addition, she ran weekly CBT groups on the inpatient unit.  As a researcher, she was responsible for overseeing several clinical trials in the Affective Disorders Research Program.  Dr. Grossman also provided training to residents and fellows in psychiatry, as well as to other mental health professionals, to promote the practice of evidence-based treatments for severe mental illness.

Dr. Grossman is an active member in the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
